Hi, I’m Stephanie! Born and raised in East Peoria, IL, I’ve had a passion for movement and fitness for as long as I can remember. What started as a love for staying active has turned into nearly 15 years of coaching and personal training, helping people build stronger bodies, healthier habits, and unshakable confidence.


No matter your starting point, my goal is to help you move with purpose, train with confidence, and feel good in your own skin. Let’s make fitness fit your life—and have fun doing it.

"Five months ago I was unhealthy and at my heaviest weight. My lifestyle had led me to a serious health scare and that was the motivation for me to change my bad habits. My doctor suggested lifting weights, so I started researching gyms in the area and that led me to finding Stephanie at The House of Barbell. I have been working out with her, twice a week, for the last 5 ½ months and it has changed my life in so many ways. Because of Stephanie, I have learned a lot about strength training and nutrition. She has me focusing on long term results and counting macros rather than paying attention to the number on the scale. Now I only check my weight once a week to make sure that I’m staying on track with my calories. This has resulted in me striving more for fat loss and changing the composition of my body.

My workouts are different every time to challenge my muscles and her focus on correct form has helped me stay injury free. Training with Stephanie has been a game changer for me. She knows when and how hard to push me to get my max effort and get great results. She has worked with me and modified exercises as needed while working through arthritis pain in 2022. The strength I’ve added, along with significant weight loss, has resulted in almost no knee pain for the last 6 months.

I’ve worked with both the in-person and online programs; both formats are excellent. The online program is very easy to follow and is still a challenging workout and pushes me to work just as hard as an in-person workout. I have made big gains in my range of motion, strength, weight loss, and endurance over the past year. The consistency and versatility of the workouts, along with dialed in nutrition has me feeling the best I have in years. I am excited to continue working towards my goals and see what else I can achieve.
